About Jaipur

The story goes back in 1876, when the Prince of Wales visited India on a tour.

Since the colour pink was symbolic of hospitality, Maharaja Ram Singh of Jaipur painted the entire city pink.

The pink that colours the city makes for a marvellous spectacle to behold.

On the behalf of the organizing committee of AOICON 2023, I welcome you to the “PINK CITY” of INDIA, JAIPUR.

My heartfelt gratitude to all the senior faculty, the office bearers and other member colleagues who gave us the opportunity to shower them with the world famous hospitality of RAJASTHAN.

A city blessed with royal palaces and forts, you are sure to run out of time but not places to visit.

The city palace which is a home to the Maharaja of JAIPUR is sure to mesmerize you with its grandeur.

The walled city of Jaipur is a monument itself, which houses the choicest wonders of the modern world like the Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, Isarlat, City Palace, the famed chaupars and Govind dev ji temple. Adorning the sub urbs are Jal Mahal, Amer fort, Nahargarh, Jaigarh, Galtaji and Garhganesh, each with a story to tell, rich with colorful history and loved by locals and tourists alike.

With broad avenues and spacious gardens, the city is steeped in history and culture.

Here the past comes alive in magnificent forts and palaces, blushed pink, where once lived the maharajas.

The famous walled city, is a home to the bustling bazaars which are loaded with traditional clothes, bagru prints, handicrafts, blue pottery, traditional jewellery with the intricacies of kundan and meena, the colored stones of emerald and ruby, handmade paper, juttis, carpets and Jaipuri Razai, stone scultures, miniature paintings, decorative items and are a treasure-trove for the shoppers.

Desserts from the desert city of Jaipur are loved by connoisseurs from all over the planet satiating diverse taste palettes with its delicacies like ghevar, churma, feeni, mohanthal, gulabshakri, mishrimava, thal ki barfi and Jaipuri seera.

Dal bati, ker sangri, gatte, kadhi kachauri, pyaz ki kachauri tingle the savoury buds of visitors’ buds like nothing else does.
